Last updated on February 3rd, 2024

This beautiful bag is easy and works up fast. The pattern is made in rounds, no sewing is needed. To close the bag, just slide the longer handle into the smaller one. The handles can be customized, so the bag can be used as a cross body bag or shoulder bag.

Inspiration: I actually first saw the knot bag made of cloth. I saw someone at the nearby supermarket with it.. She had sewed themselves a gorgeous bag that had such a fun way of holding (I asked her about the bag). So I decided there was absolutely no reason why I should not crochet it for myself. On searching for ideas, I noticed several people had already crochet this, but I decided to make my pattern unique. I love the lacy look. The handles are the reason why this bag is called the Japanese Knot Bag. The larger handle will slide into the smaller one to close the bag. It gives this bag a totally awesome look.
